All physical pain has a specific emotional cause and there is little or no point trying to fix the physical without dealing with the emotional issue that caused it in the first place.

This expo helps with emotional, physical and spiritual wellbeing.

Event: Caloundra Quilt Show

When: July 29

Time: 9am-4pm

Where: Caloundra Arts Centre, 5 North Street, Caloundra

Cost: $5.00

Caloundra Arts Centre Association strongly promotes the opportunity to display members’ work and with more than 120 members in the group there will be an impressive display of quilts of all designs and techniques, both traditional and contemporary, large and small. 

There is free tea and coffee.

Coloundra Supercar Charity - Inclusive Kids

Event: Caloundra Supercar charity cocktail and dinner party

When: 12 August 2017

Time: 5.30pm

Where: The Events Centre, 20 Minchinton Street, Caloundra

Cost: $100

Barry Lock, from McLaren Racing, will also unveil his brand-new supercar, the Aero Supercar, and cars from BMW, Audi and Mclaren will also be on display on the night. 

All proceeds from the event support local charity Inclusive Kids!

Sunshine Coast International Readers and Writers Festival

Wearable Art Competition Eumundi

Event: Wearable Art Competition

When: 25 August

Time: 9am to 2pm

Where: Eumundi Square, 1-7 Napier Road, Eumundi

Cost: Free

The event will be opened by a Welcome to Country, Dance Didgeridoo presentation and traditional fire lighting by the Kabi Kabi people.

Then the catwalk will be ready with entrants showing off their creations in front of four guest judges.

It is a 5km run – it’s you against the clock. Run for your own enjoyment or set the pace, it’s up to you. There are no winners or losers.

Another 5km fun run for all ages, you don’t need to be an experienced runner to attend, it’s about fun and exercise among friends.

Sunshine Coast Castle

The Sunshine Castle is an award winning tourist attraction and function venue. Much in the tradition of Castles all around the world the Sunshine Castle captures the imagination of old and young alike.A stand out landmark in this location this Norman style Castle, with medieval additions, complete with moat, turrets, towers and drawbridge is completely unique in Australia.

The Castle is filled with medieval displays and other exhibitions that you are able to explore at your own pace in a self walk tour. Wander over the drawbridge into another time and feast with Kings in the Great Hall or squalor in shame in the dungeon. The Castle keep is a 24 metre look out tower that offers stunning views from Coast to Hinterland.

Children are sent on a Treasure Hunt and are able to choose a treat from the Kings treasure. A history shields tour offers detailed information on the medieval elements of the Castle and history.

Originally built to house a collection of dolls and fairytales there is still a significant collection of dolls and fairytales on display.

A visit to the Castle is ideal for a family outing or a fun experience for young and old.
